Traditional Puppetry
Went to see a Bunraku performance with friends Olive and Otto yesterday. Bunraku is the refined style of puppetry that emerged in Japan in the late 16th century. I’ve wanted to experience this since I was in high-school. It was mesmerizing, but by the end of the six-hour performance it had lost a little of its sheen.
